Ember is a stylish Mac OS X application that comes with a collection of efficient yet very intuitive tools for organizing your screenshots, or various images found online. The app follows the OS X human interface guidelines, to it will seamlessly integrate on your desktop.

Streamlined software utility for capturing and organizing screenshots

The user can interact with the Ember application in two ways: via the app’s main window, or by using the associated status bar menu. The first one allows you to organize your images, while the latter offers you the possibility to capture screenshots.

Ember is able to grab full screen captures, instantly or by using a timer, but also area or window snaps. In addition, you can use the app to make video recording. For your convenience, Ember provides hotkeys for each function.

Manage your image library and browse your favorite website for new entries

Within the Ember main window you have the option to organize your image library into various collections, but the app also includes various smart folders: screen, web, photo, tablet, phone, video, bookmark, and so on. Note that Ember automatically scans an image that is added to the library and assigns it to the correct folder.

Furthermore, Ember comes with a built in RSS reader and a web browser: this way you can monitor your favorite website or explore new ones in search for beautiful images to be added to your collection (any picture can be added to the Ember library via the contextual menu).

Ember is a great tool to have around if you need to keep track of all your screenshots without too much hustle: the app automatically imports the images to your library and associates them with the correct smart folder.
